Rev. John Johnico donated the land for the cemetery and the Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, which was located about 100 yards east of the cemetery. This land was part of his Indian Allotment. Rev. Johnico founded this church about 1900 and it was in existence until his death in 1935. He was the pastor through these years. The large bell is now at the First Baptist Church in Panama.
